Our Pastor

Dear Parishioners,

Last fall, Archbishop Gregory wrote to every household, asking their help with the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal. Each parish has an assessed goal which must be reached in order for the Archdiocese to continue its mission of serving those in North Georgia.

Christ the King’s assessed goal is $382,708 and I thank the 684 Christ the King families who pledged $357,955. However, we are short of our goal by close to $25,000 in pledges and $166,000 in payments received.

In these uncertain economic times, you might consider it difficult to ask for your participation. But in my very short time here, I have witnessed the generous spirit of Christ the King and the manner in which the parishioners, staff and clergy care for one another. Like you, our parish has been affected by the downturn in the economy and we have been forced to cut budget expenses. I look on these times as very difficult but extremely hopeful in the goodness of all who worship here.

The Archdiocese, our extended family, needs our help at this time and I ask for your participation in the Annual Appeal. Please prayerfully give what you are able to afford, know that every gift is a treasure in God’s eyes. Participation is critical as we gather our resources to reach our goal. An envelope is in this bulletin for your convenience.
Thank you for the privilege of serving you as pastor of this great Christ the King family and please know you will be remembered in my prayers.
