Ordinations to the Priesthood
June 20th, 2009On Saturday, June 27, eight men will be ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Atlanta. We wish each of them God’s choicest blessings as they dedicate their lives to this Archdiocese.
One of our own, Nicholas Azar, a Christ the King parishioner, will be among the eight ordained. Nicholas went to Christ the King School, Marist, the University of Georgia and worked for Delta Airlines before entering the seminary. He attended Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland and then the Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sacred Theology from the Pontificia Universita Gregoriana.
Father Azar’s first Mass will be celebrated here at the Cathedral next Sunday, June 28 at noon. We wish Nicholas every blessing and will keep him in our prayers.
